Our Chefs shine at the Maple Leaf Pork Competition!
This weekend, the Maple Leaf Pork Competition was held at Algonquin College. With 18 Chefs showing off their talents, the competition was fierce. Our Executive Chef, Steve Gugelmeier, as well as two other Chefs from our kitchen, Han Lin and Abisheik Shetye, also competed. We are proud to say that our Chefs did not disappoint with Chef Steve being awarded the silver medal and Chefs Lin and Shetye finishing with a bronze. This ‘Iron Chef’ style competition was certainly a challenge. With only 60 minutes to prepare and plate the dish, “timing is as critical an ingredient as anything else” according to Chef Steve.
